Kitchen Tap

We paid an extra to upgrade our kitchen mixer tap. Seems a pretty good tap, it mixes the hot and cold. It swivels, It pulls out with the flexible tubing, it even has a veggie sprayer function.

2 months after moving in, we would turn on the tap (as being a kitchen tap, is used many many times daily) we found the water would just spray out everywhere. I mentioned this to Porter Davis, and a new one was shipped out to us (4 WEEKS LATER) and I had to fit this myself, this was just the spray head.

Since then, the tap has started to wobble at the base, and water has been going under the tap fitting, hence flooding under the kitchen cabinets.

I have had Porter Davis out to tighten this, obviously not done properly, as 6 weeks later the whole fitting is about to fall off.

This is quite simple to fix, if you have a long tubular spanner. . . Which I don't have, and after paying so much money for the house, don't feel that a Bunning's trip to spend more on a spanner is my responsibility.

I can only assume once again, that this workmanship falls within the tolerances and acceptable building code that Porter Davis follow.
